My Gratia today is for finding out what the stench was...
We woke up this morning to a horrid smell that permeated the entire house. We searched the fridge, took the garbage out and couldn't figure it out. Then I looked by the washing machine and there it was. Wren, yesterday, spilled half a jug of milk all over the floor. It was quite a mess and I made her clean it up. She did it while I was getting out of the shower so I was of little help. She was told to put the towel in the washing machine but a mad little five year old isn't the best listener. There it is was a putrid towel on the floor in front of the washing machine. I quickly got in the machine and gagged the entire time getting detergent in it. With my cheering section chanting "don't puke Mom"  I managed to get it started and washing with only dry heaving. Way to go Mom!

My Gratia today is for someone else s house...
That we are going to be moving to. We have a house for us under contract in Providence, Utah. It is a nice little place with a great yard and even a coop for chickens. Relieved that this all may be coming to a close and we can get back to normalcy well at least normal for us.

My Gratia today is for our house.
Our house is now under contract and I am so excited. Mostly because I really tired of showing the house. It is no easy task to keep your home spotless for two months and have 45 or more showings of it. Now someone has decided that this will be their home. I am sad to leave but also content with the decision. It is time to move on and we are all ready but the memories that float in the air in this house will be the things difficult to leave. I suppose that the final thing I will do when leaving is erasing the growth chart off of the kitchen wall. A fitting goodbye to this old house.

By the way we planted peas and what do you know...an offer on the house, I knew it!

Today my Gratia is for my garden.
Well, I must admit that since we hopefully moving in the next few months I didn't plan on planting a garden this spring. It has really bothered me not having that job to do that I love so much. Since we have yet to have an offer on our house I decided to just do something in the dirt. I couldn't stand to watch the grass over take my raised beds that I have worked so hard on for the past years. So, I spread our compost on them and rotated the soil and Gus and I planted peas in one of the beds. It is crazy because my mood has improved ten-fold and I just know it that when those peas are ready to come up we will have an offer on the house and out we go. Oh well, it will be my gift for the next proprietors of this establishment, hopefully.

My Gratia today is for my Dad.
On this day six years ago he passed away. I miss him everyday and especially today.Because I do not live where my Dad is buried I wanted to visit others that have passed and hope that someone is doing the same for him. I walked to a beautiful cemetery near my home and read the headstones of the people that lay there. There is something so peaceful and calm about cemeteries. I find them incredible places not macabre or dark at all but full of love and peace. I miss my Dad so much and as the years pass the pain eases a bit more but never goes away. At least I know that he lays in a beautiful place for people to visit his memory. I love you Dad!

Today my Gratia is for scones.
We live in quite a quaint neighborhood with a quaint corner store that is fabulous. "The Island Market" it is called and they have the best people working there and it just has such a great atmosphere. I will be sad when we move and leave easy access to the store. Anyways, I decided to go for a bike ride this morning and before I knew it I was headed strait for the market. They have fantastic scones and the best coffee so instead of finishing the ride I had planned I ate a fatty-bo-batty scone and had some great coffee. Thanks Island Market you made my day.

My Gratia today is for jogging.
I have had a wonderful weekend full of activity and I thought I would keep that momentum going and go for a jog today. It was short and sweet and it felt so good. It has been well over a month since I have felt good enough to get a real work out in.
